Mine’s best in the loo!

After a conversation about the convenience of wireless internet and laptop at home with colleagues the other day, we were lamenting the fact that there’s usually one spot in the house that has the BEST connectivity but it’s not necessarily the most convenient spot.

My best connectivity spot is the loo (I figured this out by working while watching Thomas bath not by being on the loo, I swear). E’s best spot is the maid’s quarters (if she’s on deadline and needs to work fast, she ‘rents’ DGs room for a few hours). A’s best spot is the courtyard (great in summer, not so great in winter), K’s is her parents’s bedroom (very impractical) and L says he swears the best connectivity would be in his hot neighbour’s bedroom (he lives in a block of flats!).

So where’s your best connectivity?

LOL! I believe you on finding out while watching Thomas bath (but millions wouldn’t). Luckily (or unluckily) mine is in the office and the dining room.

It’s the same everywhere…it seems in this new house. So glad for it, at the old house we only got 2g and it was so so so slow.

It really is – just hope that your download speed is fast otherwise you’ll run to the office screaming!

After moving our home office to the far back end of our house, my 3G was unusable, always “very poor signal”, no signal at all or even losing signal while blogging (eeeekkk!!). Which resulted in us getting Telkom onboard with uncapped ADSL.Cellphone reception non-existant in my house, always move outdoors when using my cell.

Ouch – I can just picture you walking about with the laptop pointed in various directions a bit like a divining rod!
