Day 17 – A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.

Angela’s Ashes.

Yikes.

I thought I had a crap childhood.

Nothing beats his.

A real eye-opener.

Slapped me right back into reality and got rid of my “Woe is me” rhyme.

Yowzer . . . all those dying babies. Whenever I’m a bit tipsy I think of his dad and how he was always drunk instead of feeding his children. Always have this urge to feed Thomas even though he had supper, when I’m like that! 🙂

Sjoe, I hadn’t thought of that book in years but you’re right about it putting one’s own issues in perspective! It always conjures up the image of that rickety wooden cart that all their earthly belongings fitted on.
