Yes – we had a very good weaning off breast and out of Mama and Dada’s bed weekend. I am thrilled to report that sprog
a) Slept in his campcot all weekend! But that’s not all! He went to bed at 7 pm with no fuss. No bottle, no breast. Just a minute or two of singing lullabies and he was out cold! Woke at 7 am on Saturday, 6 am on Sunday and 7 this morning!
b) I gave in only once during the weekend. We were at the in-laws on Sunday and he was beyond tired after lunch but because there were so many voices about, I battled to get him to sleep. I had to use my ‘secret weapons’ as husband calls my breasts and got him to sleep by suckling. My milk supply has definitely decreased and I no longer look like a porn star with huge bulbous boobs. Sadly they’re now more ageing porn star sans silicone.
So at the ripe old age of 1 and a quarter year, Sprog is finally out of our bed and off my breast. Now for getting him to sleep in his OWN ROOM! But I will take this s-l-o-w-l-y and maybe try the own room thing next year! 🙂 Have a great day!

Well done Shell, your boobs will eventually look reasonable again, mine took about a year, more or less back to pre-breast feeding shape and size!Sounds like he will adjust to his own room with little problems, when you do decide to do it. x

I had mixed feeling when I stopped breastfeeding. I was a bit sad knowing I’d never do it again, but also relieved to have my body back to myself again!LOL! at the ageing porn star boob comment! Try Innoxa neck & breast firming cream. I started using it a couple of weeks ago, and hubby noticed the difference already. (Maybe he’s just being nice – I don’t see much difference, but at least my skin feels great) :)And yip, take the move slowly – especially now that it’s winter 😉
