Did we have lovely weather this weekend or what? We decided to braai on Saturday and have been paying for it ever since! We suspect the porkribs might not have been done-done… Anyhoo we have all this leftover meat and both too scared to eat it as we’re not sure who the culprit is: the fillet, the marinaded chicken or the ribs… Bought the meat at our usual PnP at the Waterfront so it’s not as if we went to Mzoli’s or something to buy it! Most disappointing and a monumental waste of meat!
PS: Husband just got back from Doc as he was feeling really bad. Turns out it’s gastroenteritis. Probably brought home by Thomas the Tank who is immune to it because of Creche Guard! Doc reckons we should maybe start using Creche Guard as well – LOL! Also said if it was vrot meat we would’ve been sick within 30 mins and once it was flushed out we would’ve been fine. Def viral gastro. DG had not thrown out meat yet so Merry Christmas to her!

Aww shame, I would chuck out the leftovers. Its usually the chicken or pork that can make you sick. I am generally wary of marinated chicken, because the marinade can mask the smell of off meat a lot of the time.

Well we bought the chicken ‘fresh’ and added Ina Paarman’s sticky marinade. Really all confusing. Only thing that came with marinade is the ribs.

Ask Minki – she knows how to frolic! Yup he ‘swims’ until his teeth starts chattering. Loves his grandpa’s pool. I don’t though because there’s no net or fence… he walks out the back door and if not stopped will walk right into the pool.
